Inheritance and Innovation: Traditional Chinese Medicine in Schools

Overview

Traditional Chinese medicine is a treasure of China, containing rich concepts of health and wellness wisdom. Through innovative curriculum, this school integrates traditional Chinese medicine into school-based education, combining and connecting it with different grade levels' General Studies (humanities) curriculum naturally. The traditional Chinese medicine curriculum not only can enhance students' understanding and interest in traditional culture, but also can broaden their horizons, promote the comprehensive physical and mental development of students, enhance their awareness of health, cultivate healthy lifestyles, and integrate into students' lives, allowing the spirit of traditional Chinese medicine culture to be passed down.

The traditional Chinese medicine curriculum is compiled according to the relevant themes of general education, integrating the humanistic spirit of science and life. The curriculum divides different topics of Chinese health culture, matching different grade levels and learning stages, allowing students to absorb the content in a balanced and hierarchical manner. At the same time, it also provides appropriate support for teachers, enhancing their knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, so as to promote Chinese culture, strengthen national education, understand traditional wisdom and enhance national identity.
