Recent advancements in multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) have unlocked new possibilities for organisations and companies to leverage the complementary nature of different modalities, such as text, images, speech, and video. This seminar will introduce a Multimodal AI-Powered Language Enhancement (MAPLE) system to facilitate self-directed language learning in daily life activities. This system leverages multimodal information to accurately assess students' language skills and provide immediate, personalised feedback. This enables progressive improvement in students' language proficiency.
