Exploring the Microscopic World in Primary Science

Overview

Science is driven by curiosity, and curiosity is fueled by observations, especially those uncommon in daily life. Advances in technology open up the microscopic world for children to explore and observe. This provides an unfamiliar playground for children to gain a new appreciation for science. In this seminar, the speaker will first share various examples of microscopic observations from different areas of science, such as biology and physics. Next, the speaker will provide an overview of the Primary Science curriculum to examine the inclusion of these experiments or observations at the microscopic level. Finally, the speaker will share experiences from holding related workshops for Primary students.
