Exploring Circulation Management in Metaverse Gallery

Innovation Classroom

Overview

This open lesson seeks to introduce an innovative pedagogy, namely ‘Circulation management in Metaverse Gallery’, which can be applied to STEAM, Visual Arts and, Computer Literacy subjects. As the emergence of Metaverse Gallery has provided students and teachers the opportunity to gather and share their artwork, this fosters the culture of sharing and interacting

visual medium projects. In addition to that, the main objective of the lesson is to introduce the notion of ‘circulation management’ in cultural management and museum studies, which extends students’ learning experience from drawing to managing a metaverse exhibition, enabling them to articulate the art exhibition curation experience via metaverse gallery. With the emergence of metaverse concept in the academia, this casts a new light on building a metaverse gallery in the academia. Yet, there is still not a systematic approach to teach how to incorporate Metaverse gallery design in Visual Arts studies. The present work today fills the gap by introducing ways of building a metaverse gallery in line with the concept of circulation management. This seeks to provide training to students in organising an actual exhibition at a metaverse setting and designing the traffic flow of the exhibition. Also, they have chance to organise their artwork and arrange them in the metaverse gallery, which guides them to become a curator at an early stage.

Participants of this open lesson will understand:
1. ways of building a metaverse gallery;
2. how to apply ‘circulation management’ pedagogy in Metaverse building construction, which gives students an all-rounded training in Metaverse studies, from drawing to art management; and
3. how to start to build a metaverse gallery (prototype) in the academia.
