Lock Tao Children with Good Moral Characters

Early Childhood Education Theatre

Overview

The school is dedicated to promoting high-quality early childhood education through three core aspects: moral education, cultural heritage, and language development. The speaker is pleased to announce that we will be able to put into practice the ‘Gratitude, Cherish, Positivity, Optimism’ programme in addition to an improved version of the ‘Joyful Moral Character: Traditional Chinese Virtues’ project, thanks to the funding provided by the Quality Education Fund of the Education Bureau. These initiatives offer workshops, parent education events, and thorough teacher training with the goal of enhancing learning and teaching outcomes over time.

The speaker will discuss insights on children's learning experiences as they relate to the implementation of positive and national education in early childhood education, with a focus on curriculum frameworks and practical applications. Children who receive moral education show greater appreciation, gratitude and positive, upbeat attributes, which promotes more harmonious relationships between teachers and students. Children eagerly participate in traditional festivals and events that strengthen their sense of cultural identity, gaining a deep understanding and respect for Chinese culture through cultural inheritance. Furthermore, a major emphasis is placed on language development, which strengthens children's trilingualism and biliteracy while providing special assistance to non-Chinese speaking children as they learn the language.
