Student Empowerment Theatre

Overview

This seminar uses one of the schools for Hong Kong and Macau children on the Mainland in the Greater Bay Area as an example. This school integrates the moral education system from the mainland into the Hong Kong curriculum, achieving a deep integration of moral education and holistic education within the school. This unique integrated moral education curriculum covers the mainland’s traditional culture and core socialist values, while incorporating the moral education concepts and characteristics of Hong Kong and Macau. Upon review of the moral education curriculum and advantages of the Hong Kong curriculum, the school emphasises character education for students. It offers moral education courses, including ideological and political education, character cultivation education, etc., aiming to help students develop patriotism, establish correct life values and moral views, and cultivate good character and behaviour habits.

Affiliated School of JNU for Hongkong & Macao Students, Foshan carries out comprehensive moral education work, including character cultivation education classes, student leadership training, and the history of revolution tour which aims to shape students noble cultural literacy and refined character.

1. the development of integrated moral education curriculum in the Greater Bay Area;
2. the specific content and teaching methods of characteristic courses; and
3. various possibilities of moral education integration courses between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
